The greatest blessing is an opportunity to share our blessings. And the more we share them the more we receive to continue to share. Blessings are like a beautiful flowing river and at the source of this river is the magnificent throne of God. Scripture attests to this: “And the angel showed me the river of the water of life , bright as crystal, flowing from the throne of God…” (Revelation 22:1)

I suggest sharing these blessings from Psalm 103. “Bless the Lord, O my soul, and do not forget all his benefits (blessings): “who forgives all your iniquity”, “who heals all your diseases”, “who redeems your life from the Pit”, “who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy”, “who satisfies you with good things as long as you live”.

Forgiveness may be the greatest blessing and the most difficult to share. Yet we pray, “forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us.” Many times a kind word and smile provide the healing balm someone needs. Lending a hand may just help someone out of a place of discouragement. And the simple things of life bring wonderful satisfaction to a neighbor or friend.

The motive for sharing our blessings is gratitude. Remembering how much God has blessed us gives us reason to share these eternal blessings.
