Sunday School is Back in Session
Youth Religious Education News
The program we all know as Sunday School, is now titled Youth Religious Education. We have a tremendous foundation for our program and as always, aim to raise the bar. Youth Religious Education is the common vernacular used today and the title conveys a more focused program as well. Don’t get me wrong, with that focus comes FUN too!
I am excited that we will be using Groups “Hands-On Bible” curriculum. Each lesson will include a new “Learning Lab”. Just as Jesus used everyday objects to teach eternal truths, we will use fun gizmos and hands-on activities to help kids understand God’s Word, love it and remember it for a lifetime! In addition to utilizing our classroom settings (both in and outdoors), we will also have large group activities, games, movies, music and will continue our successful “Kingdom Projects” as well.
In preparation for these new lessons, CLC hosted a Come and Learn Workshop. A professional from the curriculum company came to CLC and led 13 of us (teachers, volunteers, parents and Pastor Joel) down a path of discovery as we prepare to lead classes this fall.
Youth Religious Education begins Sunday, September 20th. Students and volunteers are welcome to join anytime and visitors are always welcome! Student registration forms are available on CLC’s website.
Thank you all for trusting me to lead this ministry. Your prayers, continued support and suggestions are always appreciated!
