The CLC book club meets on the third Tuesday each month at l:00 p.m. in Holy Grounds. Reading selections include various genres. Recently, we read “Dearly”, Margaret Atwood’s new book of poems. September’s choice was the non-fiction account of Virginia Hall, an American spy during WWII. This month the discussion centered on “Emma and Laura”, a family story
detailing struggles of raising a child alone. Next month, the club reads “These Precious Times”, essays by Ann Patchett, celebrated author of “Bel Canto” and “The Dutch House”.
