Tuesday after Easter and I am relaxing! Sitting in Starbucks with my 3rd cup of coffee and feeling grateful for a congregation that loves to worship and serve God. We did it …. after the season of Lent and Holy Week we truly gathered for adoration and devotion of our suffering and risen Lord Jesus Christ.

Stop and think for a minute all the effort shared to prepare bulletins, music, food, readers, worship assistants and on and on. So many of you helped and pitched in with your time and energy to help us gather to pray and worship. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Two images stick out for me personally this year. On Good Friday when the wooden cross was carried to the front of the sanctuary reminded me of Christ’s love for all people. And on Easter Vigil at the beginning of the service I turned and watched all of you carrying your candle into the sanctuary. Light conquering darkness and life defeating death!

Live in hope Beloved. Christ is risen and the darkness of death is driven away.
